Curating Your Collection

Saturday, September 8 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Free and open to the public

Rochester Art Collectors is pleased to team up with Main Street Arts in Clifton Springs for a walk-through of their Upstate New York Drawing Invitational and talk by gallery director and curator, Bradley Butler. The focus of the discussion will be on curating in the context of an exhibition and also how it relates to curating your own art collection. Arrive early and take a walk through the historic victorian-era downtown as well! Light refreshments will be provided.

PLANTS AS MATERIALS WORKSHOP

Saturday, September 22 from 12 to 3 p.m.

$35 per person, all materials included

Through various techniques of printmaking, sewing, and pressing, participants will make mixed media artwork with natural plant materials. Plants will be both the object and the subject for this experimental workshop. Participants should bring their own plants/natural materials for use and are encouraged to use plants that have some kind of meaning to them personally.
