2015 Finger Lakes Regional
Student Painting Competition
For the 2nd year in a row, Main Street Arts in Clifton Springs is hosting a unique painting competition open to students in grades 6-12 residing in Ontario, Wayne, Monroe, Livingston, Seneca, and Yates Counties.
Students will receive a 5 in x 7 in canvas and use it to make
artwork that fits the theme, “This is What Adventure Looks Like!”
All artwork entered will be displayed in the gallery space Upstairs
at Main Street Arts. All media will be accepted, the only stipulation
is that the artwork be done on the provided canvas.
This is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their
artwork in a professional gallery setting. This past year we had
188 students participate and we hope to double that in 2015!

Structurally Speaking: A national juried exhibition
A call for artwork ranging from representational to abstract in 2D and 3D with a focus on structure both natural and human-made.
Structure is defined as: a) the way that something is built, arranged, or organized; b) the way that a group of people are organized; and c) something that is built by putting parts together and that usually stands on its own. The theme is meant to be interpretive and we welcome artwork that fits in any way suitable to the artist.
Call for work to be announced in March, 2015.
