2018 Student Paintings: Colorful Creations

This spring, Main Street Arts will host the 5th Annual Finger Lakes Student Painting Exhibition—a unique painting exhibition open
to students in grades 6-12 residing in Ontario, Wayne, Monroe, Livingston, Seneca, and Yates Counties.

Students will receive a blank 5" x 7" stretched canvas and use it to make a painting. The canvas will have a sticker with a color on it and students will use it to make a painting of an object or scene that is predominately that color (i.e. "Yellow" = Painting of a banana). The paintings do not have to be monochromatic but they can be. Imaginative interpretations of the theme are highly encouraged!

All artwork entered will be displayed in the second floor gallery space
at Main Street Arts. All media will be accepted, the only stipulation is that the artwork be done on the provided canvas. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their artwork in a professional gallery setting.
